PAD Club

One of the groups that the Rooster’s Den
sponsors is the PAD Club.
They just celebrated their 44th anniversary!
They have many gifted young adults,
some who have earned (WON) medals
at the Special Olympics.

They meet once a month at the Rooster’s Den, usually the last Saturday of each month. Each meeting begins by sharing what has happened in their lives since the last meeting,
and planning upcoming meetings. Then it’s time for lunch,
when many Rooster’s Den members volunteer to help serve.

Every PAD Club member enjoys what follows lunch
- dancing and singing along to songs they love -
YMCA, Chicken Song, and the Hokey Pokey,
just to name a few. Not even wheel chairs
stop this group from enjoying life.

Every meeting has a special closing -

we all sing Roy Rogers and Dale Evans theme song “Till We Meet Again”

The Rooster’s Den also sponsors other activities for the PAD Club:

camping, bowling, boat rides, picnics, and other trips.
